bowieball.com is run by Bowie Ball (“we,” “us”), based in Chicago, Illinois. The site shares information about Bowie Ball events, photos, music and performers. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. If you come to a party, our Event Policies and Photo & Video Policy also apply.
A tribute, not an official David Bowie event
Bowie Ball is an independent fan celebration of David Bowie’s music and legacy. Bowie Ball is not associated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the Estate of David Bowie and its licensing agent and affiliated entities, including Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Company LLC, or by any record label. David Bowie’s name is used only to describe what we celebrate.
Content and trademarks
Bowie Ball™ and the Bowie Ball logo belong to Bowie Ball. Site design and text are © Bowie Ball. Photos are © their respective photographers, and mixes and performances belong to the artists who made them. You’re welcome to share links to our pages and posts. Please don’t copy, bulk-download or reuse site content, including photos, without permission.
Venue names, ticketing partners and other trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
What you send us
When you send us a message, photo or other material, you confirm you have the right to share it. If you send something for us to post (like a photo you took at a party), you give us permission to show it on bowieball.com and our social channels with credit to you. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
Please don’t
- Use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass or impersonate anyone.
- Send spam through our forms, or try to break, overload or get unauthorized access to the site.
- Scrape or bulk-download photos, or use them to train facial recognition or AI systems.
Giveaways and contests
From time to time we run ticket giveaways and contests, including on Instagram. Each one has its own official rules, posted with it, which explain who can enter, how winners are picked and any age limits. No purchase is ever necessary to enter or win. Giveaways on social media aren’t sponsored, endorsed or run by Instagram, Meta or any other platform.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on bowieball.com infringes your copyright, email contact@bowieball.com with:
- The work you believe was copied, and the link to where it appears on our site.
- Your name, address, phone number and email.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you own the copyright or are authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We’ll review it and remove the material if appropriate.
Links to other sites
We link to ticketing partners, venues, performers’ and photographers’ social accounts, and music platforms. We don’t control those sites, and their own terms and policies apply.
Event information can change
We work hard to keep dates, venues, lineups and prices accurate, but details can change. The ticketing partner’s event listing is the final word on your ticket.
Disclaimers
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the site, including that it will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bowie Ball and its organizers, performers, photographers and partners won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
If you misuse the site or break these terms and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms or the site will be handled only in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction.
Changes and other terms
We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update. If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later.
